Happy Rescue Pom Tails
These pommies are now safely in permanent homes with loving families. Many of these dogs were abandoned or left at shelters. We can't thank the owners of these dogs enough for the compassion and love they have shown in adopting these needy pommies.
Here in this house......

Niko -
Was adopted in Aug 2008 by a lovely couple in Fullerton, CA. When Niko first came to us he was abandoned by his owner because she could no longer care for him. He would not let anyone near him at first, however one of our volunteers was able to win him over and fostered him for a few months. After a lot of hard work and patience Jacqueline was able to get Niko to stop biting people and to walk on a leash. This was the hard part, as immediately after placing him up for adoption he was re-homed.
Ty is a 12 year old male (neutered) pomeranian.
Ty came to us from an LA kill shelter and was scared to death of people touching his mouth. After having all but one tooth removed he became much more calm and happy. He had lost 1.5 pounds while with us which brought him to a much more normal weight. Now he has a loving playmate named Candy. Candy is a chihuahua whose parents thought she could use a playmate. When they first met Ty they had no idea that they would bee going home with their new son that day. Ty immediately became friends with Candy and they romp happily through their home. We will miss you Ty but are so glad that you have found the perfect home for you!
Bubbles / Shasha -
She is a 3 year old Red Sable Female pomeranian. She weighs about 12 pounds and is very active. She gets along well with other dogs but needs to be fed separately from them as she will steal food and growl. She knows how to walk on a leash and does several tricks. She is fully housebroken and loves car rides. Her mommy has had her shaved down from her original fluff because she goes to the desert most weekends for vacation. She came to us as a stray from Moreno Valley with Kennel Cough, but has now recovered and is living happily with her 2 pom-mix sisters in Newport Beach.
Tootie - 9year old pomeranian.
Available through us (her foster mommy is an employee) from Little Big Dog Rescue. She has a thyroid condition that is easily managed with medication (thyroxine) which is in-expensive. She has a weak back hip but it just makes her want to be with you all day instead of running around. Recently she recovered from a full body staff infection and re-occurring ear infections. She was dumped at the shelter when her past owner thought they could trade her in for a younger dog. She is all love and kisses and is potty trained to go outside or use pee pads. She loves to eat so she is monitored for weight gain, but it is cute when she is sniffing around because her nose crinkles like a little piggy. She is active for a senior dog, but cannot go on long walks due to her bad hip and luxating patellas. We call her "tootie fruity" and she seems to like it because her tail goes a million miles a minute and she follows her foster mommy everywhere. She is now living in Rancho Santa Margarita with her new mom and little pommmie brother.
Button - a 12yr old pommie male with a grade 6 heart murmur.
Button now lives with Tootie since coming to the rescue in September 2009. Button loves his little sister and his new mommy dearly. He gives kisses all the time and dances for the joy of knowing that he was loved and taken in by one of the best pommie mommies out there! Congratulations little button we will miss you!
Pixie - a 4yr old female red/white parti girl.
Now living in Simi valley with her adoptive mommy. She was relinquished after many years of being lonely. She now is spoiled rotten and as her picture shows always smiling.
Big Larry - Was adopted by a loving momma who works at UCLA.
She is a nurse and he is her first puppy. He seems to have fallen in love and was bounding playfully before he went home. At 1 1/2 he was left at a groomers before he found his way to us. He lived and played with us for more than 2 months before Karen found him. Now he is living large and running happy with his new mommy.
Buster was adopted after just a short stay.
Now living in Cerritos he is happy to play. A little bit lonely without his little buddies but learning to love his new family as an only child. Buster came to us very sick, but once he recovered he was full of life and won everybody's heart. He will be fondly thought of everyday for the rest of his little life with his new momma Grace.
Kaluha is a 3-4 yr male pomeranian.
He is a black and white merele with gray patches. He has cocoa brown eyes. He is about 5 pounds and is full of love and kisses. He loves to follow you around and is very quiet. He was left behind when his owners moved from Moreno Valley and a neighbor took him in. After waiting 1 month for him to be claimed by his owners, the gracious neighbor brought him to us to find him a good family. He does well with children, eats almost anything, and is housebroken. As with all males we recommend a belly band. His new momma Nora loves him dearly and says that he is adjusting well to his new home and sibling.
Sy found a loving home in the San Dimas area where he lives with a senior mommy.
She is head over heels for him as he is for her. His mommy is still working on getting all the paperwork squared away, but he is adjusting well to his new home. Congratulations little Sy! We are so happy that your are well taken care of and that your back is not an issue in your new home!
Darcy Gracie -
Now living with a lovely pair of ladies and their two dogs. She is very happy, well adjusted, and loves playing with her little Labrador buddy as pictured. Darcy came to us with a severe case of mange and recuperated in our foster system. She is very smart and loved to climb baby gates as well as figure ways out of carriers. She was always a cuddle bug and we are very pleased to say that her adoptive mommies are taking excellent care of her.
Baxter -
was adopted on 6/16/09 and is happily living in a home with another little playful buddy. He now lives in the moreno valley area and is taken for daily walks. His mommy is head over heals for him and is finishing her paperwork currently.
Prince Charles -
has a wonderful home in LA county where he is given tons of attention and is the apple of his mommy's eye. He came to us from a financial difficulty and was very heart broken for some time. He has now filled the empty place in his family's hearts and his own and we are very pleased to say that he is getting along very well. We will miss you Charlie!

IF you are in search of the perfect gentleman that will greet you at the door every night with hugs and kisses then I am your man. I am gentle, kind and loving and enjoy going on walks or taking trips in the car, truck, motorhome or whatever !! I have "hair" any woman would die for and don't even need a color weave to comlete my sophisticated look. I love kids, your friends and your family... all are welcome in my world. Even though I weigh in at 20 pounds I really adore being on the sofa or in your lap right with you but I will play with your dog, kids and you too when you want to play!! Oh yes, I forgot, I am your PRINCE (that's my name too!)
Baby-
I am fairly quiet but prefer to be with my people rather than alone. I love to play fetch and go for long walks around the football field. I am only 1-2 years old and have a long time to give lots of love to my new furever family. I do need a little training but I am super smart and very food motivated. I now live with my new mommy in south orange county and could not be happier! I get to have one on one love every day and will always give 100x more love than I receive. What pommie doesn't? We just wanted to thank you for introducing us to our new baby! We have already bought him a nice big bed and blanket and toys and treats! He is such a well mannered sweeter dog. He is absolutely right for us! I have a quick question- did he go poop outside or on weewee pads? He has not gone yet here and he has peed twice outside yay! He is very happy, plays fetch in between cuddling with us! Thanks again for everything!

is 4 years old. Debarked, micro chipped, current shots and spayed. Before she was up even a day she was adopted. Congrats LaToya!
Princess- A 5yr old fe pom.
She is really cute and small. She sits on the sofa and doesn't get down, a real honest to goodness lap dog. Her name is Princess. She is missing some teeth top and bottom in the front. So far, very quiet too! Princess found a home within 48hrs of her arrival with us. Congrats Princess!
Hi, my name is Timmy -
and I was found wandering along the side of a 4 lane highway when a nice lady rescued me from the side of the road. I am about 2-3 years old and am just a bitty guy. I am really cuddly and a bit of a couch potato. I will give you plenty of kisses and spend all my time just watching you and keeping you company. I am quiet and I don't mind car rides or being toted around either. Timmy found a wonderful home where he is never alone within a week of his arrival with us. Congrats timmy!
Mo-
Mo is a young male pommie that was found as a stray in Moreno Valley. He is now comfortably living in a home with a 2yr old brother and his mom/dad. Mo is a cuddle bug and oh so sweet. He was adopted 1 month after his arrival with us. Congrats Mo!
Lily
You won't find a more loving little girl. When you get down on the floor with Lily she just falls over and lays there for you to give her a tummy rub. Lily will come to you as soon as you get down on the floor and just nuzzle her whole face right into your lap. She likes to carry her little barbell around too, it's her favorite toy. She isn't fond of crates, but we are working on that, she scratches to come out when she is put to bed but quiets down quickly. Lily is very quiet and likes to lay on the sofa but she doesn't like to be picked up, she will jump up there herself. We are working on figuring out why Lily doesn't like being picked up or having her back end touched and insists that you get on the floor with her instead. Lily is 4 years old and was confiscated from her owner by animal control and was rescued. She is now waiting for her furever home. Lily is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Big Red
I would make a great only doggie for a senior. I weigh about 15 pounds and stands knee high. I am 10 years young and look just like the cowardly lion on the wizard of OZ. I get along with other animals and am a lazy old guy, I sleep in a crate quietly at night. I love to cuddle and run around. I am fairly quiet but prefer to be with my people rather than alone. I love to lounge on the couch and be brushed. I am super smart and very friendly. If you think I might be a cuddly life partner please call my rescue. They did save me from being killed at the shelter!
Rex
ADORABLE little guy 6-7 pounds. I am in the process of getting cleaned up. Some nice people have taken me in, however I was a stray that could not find a home. I am very friendly and fairly calm. I like to cuddle and give kisses. I will be pretty toothless when I go home due to such a long time without a caring mom/dad. I promise that I will love you anyway though! I am of unknown age because I am not yet at the vet's office. If you are interested in me please contact my rescue right away!
Rosie
A sweet &little;6 month old pom-chi female. She was rescued from Riverside County Shelter so that she wouldn't get sick! she loves to cuddle and be pet all day. She gets along with other doggies and kitties very well. She is learning to be house broken and sleeps in her bed at night alongside her friend Minah. She loves to curl up on the sofa and watch TV with her foster mom or to sleep by her feet while she works.
Minah
A prancing beauty at &let;6 months old. Minah was rescued from Riverside Co. Shelter so she would not get sick. She is a wonderful little Pom-Chi that dances around for attention. She is very sweet giving lots of kisses and cuddling with her buddy Rosie. Minah would do wonderfully in a home with children, other dogs, and cats! Minah is learning what housebreaking is and sleeps in her own bed. She loves to spend time under her foster mom's desk while she works or to romp out in the yard.
Casper
A 4 pound 4 year old little boy that is really very camera shy. He adores a soft bed, a soft lap and a soft shoulder to snuggle into. They don't come any cuter than Casper. Casper was saved from the animal shelter where he was brought in as a stray with dirty matted fur and doggie flu but he is ALL better now and ready to love and cuddle and kiss you every day for he rest of his little teensy tiny life. He is playful and energetic and is easy to carry around to keep you company everywhere you go.
Ilene
I am a sweet adult pommie girl. I love to follow my care takers around despite my injuries. I am currently awaiting surgery to repair my broken paw. I am very cuddly though. Careful though I like to go for a run if the door is open. I am good with other doggies and kids. I would make an excellent apartment pet as I am already house trained and don't make too much noise. Hi, I am maggie. I am a very sweet little pommie girl. I was found in LA with a bad wound to my leg. the rescue is working on getting me fixed up though. I would love a home right after I get out of the vet so please check back often for updates on me.

I am a young adult red sable male pom-mix. I weigh about 8#. I love to go for a jog and need to be kept on leash when outside. I am house trained and very sweet. I love to spend most of my day outside in the yard but like to sleep inside at night. I was rescued from the animal shelter because they planned to put me to sleep. I love people so much that I can hardly remember being there now. I give big hugs to all my caregivers and want to be an only doggy. Please call my rescue for more information on me.
Hi, i'm queenie! I love to cuddle and give kisses. I love a good petting and am eager to please. I get along with many other small dogs and cats too! My foster mom has nick named me Swirly because I like to spin around a lot. I am a really funny little pom-mix that just craves attention. Danni
A sweet 3yr old tiny pom-chi. Loves to romp and play in the yard with other young small dogs. Danni is a major attention grabber. He will crawl in your lap and pet himself! He loves to do tricks for treats and would make a great family pet. Danni has a lot of energy and would do well with children. He weighs only about 4 pounds! He does sleep in a crate but would prefer to be a bed dog. He gives tons of puppy kisses and is waiting for that special someone to give him the affection he desires.
Cookie
Neutered male, approximately 1 to 2 years old, 17 pounds, white/beige, spaniel-type mix. He is a bit shy with new people and kids, especially men and sensitive to discipline, but very sweet and gentle and easily trainable. Ready to be a constant companion with plenty of love to pass around. He needs a gentle touch when it comes to training but is already housebroken with a dog door and crate trained. He gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. Was originally abandoned in an apartment with a female dog his size and since mid-July has been fostered with 10 other dogs of various sizes. Would be best in a home with at least one other dog, especially if family is gone during the day so he has someone to play with. He loves to play but will also go settle in a crate or dog bed. He is very gentle would be good with kids. He is not a barker, but will bark at someone or something outside.

Sam Age approx 12yrs Woof Woof! I am Sam. I was a very spoiled pommie before my owner passed away. Ever since then I have been very depressed and have had to be in the hospital for some time. Now that I am feeling a little better I get to spend my days with the other senior poms here at the rescue. I do need some refresher courses on house breaking but love to be with my human. I also am a picky eater preferring chicken and turkey over kibbles. I am very sweet but shy too. I need a good home with lots of love and no kids under 10yrs. Lola is a lap dog all the way. She is 10 years young and really enjoys curling up next to you for a few pets and hugs. Lola likes to walk and just wants to be someones constant companion. Lola would make a perfect companion for someone that likes to take the dog with them as she would much prefer to be with you than home alone. She is on the bigger side at around 12 pounds but really could stand to slim herself down just a bit. Lola is looking for that chance to be a furever loving senior friend.

Missy was owner-relinquished at the shelter. She was clearly neglected but has flourished during the past 2 months at our home. Missy is a sweet, sweet girl & estimated age is about 10. She loves people & other dogs. Will tap you with her paw when she wants some petting...sooo cute! She's very low maintenance & quiet unless she gets hungry or needs to go out & then she'll bark.

I am a 3month old pommie puppy. I am super sweet and full of energy. I love to give kisses and play with other doggies. I am a very dominant little Chihuahua dude. I have beautiful long blonde hair. I have been with the rescue since February 2009. My owner did not take good care of me so his parents asked the rescue to take me in and find me a more attentive home. I love to prance and will go out for an adventure if given the opportunity. I can get into lots of things if you don't keep an eye on me because I love to go hunting for small sticks and toys. She says that I need a home with a loving family that does not have kids or other doggies. I love to play with wash rags, ropes, small balls, squeaky toys, and other small doggies. Tick/Tack
Our names are Tic and Tac and we are about 5 years young. We love to play together and run all over the backyard playing chase, watch us in our video. We were rescued together after a really long time in the shelter and since we love each other so much we would really like to stay together. We are very sweet and playful and we sleep in our crates at night really quietly. We were saved from the animal shelter the day they planned to kill us. We would love to have some children to play with but we like grown ups too ! Please adopt us and give us a furever home with you !!

Dipstick/Spaz
We re-named him Spaz because he was nuts during the first couple of weeks at our home, but he's also very energetic & likes to play. His hair is not growing back very well since we shaved it due to neglect, however this does not pose a medical problem. He is a very lovable little guy, and loves to play fetch. Once he bonds to you, he pays no attention to others & has no interest in other dogs either. Not that he's unfriendly, but he only has eyes for his owner :) He is approximately 8yrs young with lots of love to give! He is currently undergoing treatment aas a thyroid dog to see if his hair will return faster.

I'm SPARKY because I have such a sparkling personality. I was rescued from the Kern County animal shelter with less than two hours before my death sentence would be imposed now I am looking for a furever home and someone that I can share all my energy and love with. I am a really cool guy and I know how to sit, lay down and go potty outside. I know that is really important. I am about 5 or 6 years young so I have LOTS of years to give to a really wonderful loving family. Right now I am staying with my foster mom in Fresno. I am a sweet young adult female pommie mix. I am on the medium side for pomeranians. I am super friendly and love to dance and give kisses. I also know how to beg and sit. I am very smart so I will learn new tricks quickly. I am learning what housebreaking is and am picking it up fairly quickly. I love other doggies and can't figure out what those fuzzy things with claws are. Mom says they are cats, but I think they're just funny looking dogs. I love to be inside with my people but am ok alone outside during the day while you work. Please consider giving this one eyed honey a good home.

I am a 7 month old Dachsund (mix?) puppy. I am all black and tan and have extra toes on my hind legs. I love to run around in the yard or curl up on the sofa with you. My favorite toys are squeaky toys. I get along really well with other doggies and am potty trained. I don't care much for baths and will cry but have never shown any bad habits. I sleep quietly in a crate at night and ride very well in the car. I am smaller than most of the pomeranians at the rescue too! I am already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped! Farley
Farley is a very friendly, loving and WELL BEHAVED doggie. He gets along great with his foster siblings. Farley is very mild mannered, strong, healthy and loves to cuddle and get brushed. Loves attention, being pet or talked to, will give you kisses once he trusts you. Sleeps fine in his crate at night. Very smart. Pretty quiet. Barks when someone is at the door and other dogs barked. Has all shots. 4 yrs old. 15 lbs. Red Sable Pomeranian Male.
Manny
A sweet 3yr old tiny pom-chi. Loves to romp and play in the yard with other young small dogs. Manny is a major prancer and loves to explore his home. Manny is a big kisser and spends lots of time cuddling with other dogs and cats. Manny is learning to be house broken and has his own bed that he sleeps in at night. Manny was rescued from Redlands just before the shelter put him to sleep. Manny would do well as a family pet or apartment pup. Manny is also fully housetrained.
