Hallie, 6-8yrs 12lbs
Hallie came to us from the Riverside Shelter. She is a very sweet girl that would love nothing more than to be in someone’s lap or bed. She can be a little insecure at times & tends to stick close by wanting to be near her person whenever possible. Hallie would do well in a quieter home with little commotion. She will need an adult family who is patient with her insecurities and willing to work with her on her house manners.

Meet Faith (fka A1771695), from the San Diego animal care and control. Faith is a geriatric, blind, possibly abused female Pom.
Faith came to us, matted and dirty with little will to live. Through the love and care shown to her, she is now enjoying her senior years. Faith is a mellow girl, who sleeps most of the day but still enjoys a short walk and lots of love! If you would like a little companion who is not too active Faith may be the perfect companion.

Backstory: Something very special happened on April 6th... LeMer Bevan came down to LA from San Diego for work. That same day SCPR called the alarm to save Faith, a 15-yr. old, blind possibly abused Pom on death row, at a San Diego shelter. She had until 5:30pm end of day to have a commitment, or her life would have been ended. SCPR knew we had to act fast.
Being the senior Pom loving guy he is, Lemer agrees to get her on his way back from LA and then travel back to Orange County to pass off Faith to SCPR volunteer Africa and then drive back to San Diego all in the same day. Africa in turn drove Faith to SCPR volunteer Eileen who had agreed to house her for the night. Then SCPR volunteer Kay drove out to help Eileen with the 3 baths needed to get her clean.

LeMer later tells us that when he was picking up Faith from the shelter, he asked the young guy bringing her out if she wouldn't have made it past 5:30 if he hadn't come?
He said no and thanked him for taking her with tears in his eyes.

This is rescue, if we all do a little a life gets saved! And of course, as we know, the real hard work is still left to be done. If you would like to help donate to Faiths ongoing medical please click below.

Muffy 12yrs, 5lbs
Muffy is the most adorable little dog you will ever meet! She is house trained, crate trained and loves to cuddle. Muffy has an autoimmune disorder wich causes her to have some skin issues... but other than that, she is a wonderful little companion.

Meet Paris
A darling 2 year old, 8lb Chiweenie. Paris is a fun loving dog who will need training. If you are up for that she will be a great companion.

Nala, 10 yrs, 5lbs fka A1345875, from Riverside Shelter.
Nala is the cutest little senior pom. She has had some dental and Jaw issues that SCPR took care of but she is still a spunky darling little girl. She gets along with other dogs and has definite pomatude!

Panda 1 yr, 6 lbs
Panda was surrendered with 7 of her family mates. Panda is deaf but seems to get along just fine with her foster.

Cookie 7 yrs 8lbs
Cookie was surrendered to SCPR for biting. We have been working with her for over a year with trainers and she has calmed down but will still occasionally try to bite. If you are an experienced dog owner and would like to give this little Pom a furever home, please contact us.

Starlight came to us with her two sons. She is about 7 yrs old and 7lbs.
Starlight is a cuddle bug and enjoys walks. She is a friendly dog and gets a little nervous around men but seems to get along with everyone.

We had her rear leg surgically repaired as she has a patella out. If you would like to donate to her medical bill we are taking donations. It will cost about $1500.00

Sky, female 7-8 year, Terrier mix.  (08/17/17 Pending Adoption)
Isn't she a pretty girl? Sky gets along with other dogs, walks well on a leash and loves to cuddle.

Buttercup Arial, (fka A1348876) , Arial is a 10 yr , 9lb  female
What a sparkling little personality she has as her lighter-than-Tinkerbell paws follow her foster from room to room. She's up for any adventure in the yard, yet whenever you take a seat she's immediately ready to cuddle in and nap with you. A sweetheart! Buttercup has a heart murmur that is manageable. She was left by her owner.
